Students

Lead with purpose. Learn by Doing. Grow Through Service.
REACH gives students the opportunity to develop as leaders while making a real difference in the lives of working families in their campus community. Students don’t just volunteer, they help plan initiatives, support program delivery, collaborate across cultures and generations, and reflect on what it means to lead with integrity and empathy.

What You'll Gain

Hands-on leadership experience

in real-world settings

Coaching, mentorship, and reflection

to turn experiences into growth

Professional & career-ready skills:

communication, collaboration, project ownership

Confidence, purpose, and civic agency

grounded in service and community impact

Why it Matters

You want your college experience to mean something. You want to grow, not just in knowledge, but in empathy, confidence, and connection.

You are ready to lead in a new way: by showing up, listening, and learning with others.

REACH connects you with working families in your community, where you learn to lead by building trust, contributing meaningfully, and growing together.

How it Works

Students participate in a structured, tiered leadership experience that blends:

Leadership learning & training

Applied service roles that strengthen REACH programs

Guided reflection and feedback

Community-centered problem-solving

Students learn → apply → reflect → improve — building confidence, competence, and character through purposeful action.

Impact for Students — and the Community

Students grow as leaders. Families gain access to resources and opportunity. The community becomes more connected, empathic, and resilient. This is REACH’s dual-impact model in action.

Many students come to REACH searching for purpose. They leave with confidence, clarity, and a deeper understanding of the community they call home.

Having the opportunity to put my skills into practice towards a meaningful goal is an experience like none other!

As a REACH fellow, I've discovered that the feeling of being supported by a village doesn't stop at adulthood –it grows by orders I could have never imagined.
